Nicaragua Pt. 1

Nicaragua has been great to us. We’ve moved at a pretty quick pace on this trip and jumped around quite a bit which is why I haven’t had time to update my blog. Oh well, that’s what vacation is all about. Below are a few pictures from the first part of the trip.

It is not regulation to have a horse in the outfield. It just happened to be grazing there when the game started.

My favorite spot was the hammock by the pool that overlooks the ocean. The hammock was sooo high off the ground!

Our Swiss Family Robinson style accomodations. Our place was called the bottle house because the windows were all made from Flor de Caña rum bottles.

Walking through the muddy jungle at night barefoot, I stepped on a stick and put a massive hole in the bottom of my foot.

Had to take a boat to Big Corn to see a doctor. They made me take a number.

Dr. David had a bird to keep us company in the outdoor waiting area.

Flor de Caña took our mind off the all the rain we experienced on Little Corn. It helped my injured foot feel better too.

Quick Chicago Again

Spent a couple nights in Chicago this week. Had a great view of Lake Michigan.

Two Harbors, Catalina

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be invited to go camping in Catalina by Keslie and Rory. I was accompanied by Dave, Scott, Michelle and a whole campground full of great people. It was my first time camping in Two Harbors and it was one of the best weekends ever.

Here is a little crab movie I made as a time lapse:

And here are some other random pictures from the weekend:

San Francisco with old friends

I was lucky enough to spend a quick weekend in San Francisco with old friends. The most amazing part was that we were able to pick up right we we left off. It was like a single day hadn’t passed since we were last together. One of the best weekends I’ve ever had.

Quick Chicago

Made a quick trip to Chicago a couple weeks ago for work. I didn’t have too much free time but I managed to venture out and take in a bit of the city. A few of the highlights are below.
